The International Essential Tremor Foundation is starting an educational campaign to alert people to the disorder, which is often confused with Parkinson's disease, and treatments.

Essential tremor, the rhythmic shaking of a body part, is the result of abnormal communication among certain areas of the brain. Its cause is unknown. Up to 10 million Americans, including actress Katharine Hepburn, suffer from ET.
