Vic; Management keep close eye on papers
Fairfax management has been haunting Melbourne's railway stations this morning keeping
an eye on the distribution of the company's new free morning newspaper.
A spokesman says the effect of the new Melbourne Express on its rival papers, including
News Ltd's Herald Sun, won't be known for several weeks.
He says the morning has been a huge success and that advertisers had responded positively
to the new publication.
News Ltd will respond with the release of their own free paper this afternoon.
