NSW: $30,000 worth of cattle stolen from Cowra

Police say more than $30,000 worth of cattle was stolen from saleyards in central New
South Wales this week.

They say 49 head of cattle were taken from two holding pens at Cowra between between
Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

Canobolas Rural Crime Investigator Senior Constable KEVIN BEATTY says the animals were
sold on Monday and placed into their buyer lots for pick up by carriers.

He says police believe the cattle was removed in one double-deck semi-trailer.
